The Election Commission of India ECI has declared the Lok Sabha Elections schedule for the year 2019. ECI scheduled the Lok Sabha elections to be held in seven phases for all the 543 Lok Sabha Constituencies in 29 States and 7 Union Territories. The Lok Sabha General Elections will start from 11th April 2019 and ends on 19th May 2019. The Election Commission of India declares the Lok Sabha General Elections results on 23rd May 2019.
The term of the Indian Parliament is 5 years. The last Lok Sabha Elections were held in the year 2014 to form the 16th Lok Sabha, by the March 2019 the term of the current Lok Sabha was completed. There are 545 MP seats in Indian Parliament out of these 545 Lok Sabha Constituencies 543 are elected by the eligible voters of India and the remaining 2 Lok Sabha seats are nominated by the President of India.
