UPSC – Union Service Public Commission has released the UPSC Civil Services 2019 Exam notification for IAS IPS yesterday i.e. 19th February 2019. The Notification was released to fill the 896 vacancies; apart from 896 vacancies the notification also includes the 39 posts in disability category. The online registration for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019 has started yesterday and the last date for the online registration is 18th March (18/03/2019) till 6:00 PM.

Age Limit for UPSC Civil Services 2019 Exam:

The minimum age to apply UPSC Civil Services 2019 is 21 years and the maximum age to apply is 32 years.

Lower Age Limit:

Candidates born on or before 1st August 1998

Lower Age Limit:

Candidates whose age is below 32 years before 1st August 2019

UPSC 2019 Exam Age limit Relaxation:

  • The upper age limit i.e. 32 years can be relaxed up to 5 years for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe categories candidates.
  • The upper age limit i.e. 32 years can be relaxed up to 3 years for other backward classes candidates.
  • The upper age limit i.e. 32 years can be relaxed up to 3 years for a Defense Services Personnel.
  • The upper age limit i.e. 32 years can be relaxed up to 5 years for ex-servicemen
  • The upper age limit i.e. 32 years can be relaxed up to 10 years for disabled persons.

How to Apply for UPSC 2019 Civil Services Exam?

  • Visit the UPSC official website.
  • Select Apply Online option from the right side drop down menu.
  • Apply online window will be displayed.
  • Select online recruitment application (ORA) for various recruitment posts option.
  • Online recruitment application (ORA) for various recruitment posts window will be displayed.
  • CSP UPSC 2019 Civil Services Exam online registration window will be displayed.
  • The online window contains Part I & Part II registration.
  • First click on the part I registration option.
  • Instruction window for filling the online application will be displayed.
  • Go through the instructions before filling the application form.
  • Now click on the yes button present at the bottom of the instructions window.
  • Part –I online Registration form will be displayed.
  • Complete the form and click the continue button.
  • After the successful registration for the Part –I click on the Part-II registration option.
  •  Instruction window for filling the online application will be displayed.
  • Go through the instructions before filling the application form.
  • Now click on the yes button present at the bottom of the instructions window.
  • Part –II online Registration form will be displayed.
  • Complete the form and click the continue button.

UPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern:

As we know the Civil Services exam consists of two exams one is prelims and the second one is mains. The Preliminary exam contains two mandatory papers on General Studies subject. First one is General Studies paper – I which comprises of 200 marks and the second subject is General Studies Paper-II which also consists of 200 marks. The mains exam consists of 1750 marks.

UPSC Civil Services Exam:

  • Prelims Exam – 400 Marks
  • Mains Exam – 1750 Marks
  • Interview – 275 Marks

UPSC Recruitment Process:

The UPSC recruitment process involves 3 steps, first step is prelims – the candidate must qualify the prelims, the second level is Mains – the candidate must qualify the mains exam too and the third and the last stage is Interview – candidate must qualify the interview to get in to Civil Services.
